User Reviews on Aygestin (Norethisterone)
Reading reviews on Aygestin (Norethisterone) always got me thinking - does this medication really work or was it just marketing gimmick. However, after lots of convincing from my friend and neighbor I decided to give it a shot. I mean, I had been experiencing abnormal bleeding in my uterus for the better part of my adult life (started at 34 and now was heading to 41 years). Treatments such as IUD with hormones and BC had failed. Well, as of today, my periods have returned back to normal, after just taking it for a few weeks. All thanks to Aygestin.
Old age was certainly catching up with me. At 42 years, my periods seemed to have a mind of their own. At one time I hardly experienced any menses while in the next few days it was as if the heavens had opened up. This got me worried as it seemed to get worse over time. Estrogen and IUD gave me bloated breasts and made me moody. Following advice from my obstetrician started using norethindrone and so far I love the results.
I have been bleeding/spotting continuously for the last 5 weeks and I’ve never experienced normal periods for the last three months. I believe this has got to do with my hitting 40 years where my hormones seem to be out-of-place. After diagnosis from my doctor, I started using Norethindrone. One week has passed and the spotting has gone down. The only side effect is that my breasts look a bit discolored. Nora-BE does work.
Am in my third week of using Aygestin (Norethisterone) and all I can say is that the results so far are quite encouraging. First, my bleeding has declined and I don’t have to worry about excessive bleeding. Secondly, I don’t experience mood swings and irritability. Thirdly, there are no major side effects apart from some small brownish discoloration at the beginning which eventually went away. Am very grateful to Aygestin.
My periods rarely last more than 4 days, so you can imagine my worry when I was still bleeding after one week. After going for checkup, my physician told me I was suffering from abnormal uterine bleeding which is caused by hormonal imbalance. He prescribed Norethisterone which seems to work wonders. After just using the medication for one day my abnormal bleeding subsided. Now I can breastfeed my 2 months old son in peace without any worry.
After turning 55 years my hormones seemed to be out-of-balance. The estrogen patch didn’t seem to help the situation as I was still getting abnormal uterine bleeding and the side effects (dizziness, irritability, and mood swings) seemed to get worse over time. Then I switched to Aygestin after research and advice from my OB. Mood swings, abdominal cramps, dizziness, and abnormal menstrual is a thing of the past. Couldn’t have done it without Aygestin.
In the last two months I have had to deal with unending spotting that forced me to wear a panty liner all the time. This problem seemed to be triggered by the birth control pills that were also supposed to treat my ovarian cysts. One week ago I made the switch to Nora-BE and the results are quite encouraging. My bleeding has drastically reduced and I don’t get painful cramps. The only side effect is a bit of dizziness which eventually disappeared after two days.
I have been taking Aygestin (Norethisterone) pill for the last six weeks after being diagnosed with secondary amenorrhea. Nothing seemed to happen in the initial days but I guess it’s because I was skipping some doses. But after sticking to the prescription I started seeing changes. And what’s more is that apart from some mild sensitivity and slight increase in boob size the medication is working fantastically. Am very grateful to this pill.
I was contemplating taking out my uterus. I mean can you imagine bleeding abnormally for the last five years? And what was more worrying is that no medication seemed to work. Instead, I had to deal with constant headaches, painful cramps, dizziness, mood swings and more. Well, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. I have started seeing positive results after switching for the fourth time to Norethindrone. My bleeding has lessened and I am less irritable.
I chose to use norethindrone as a substitute to hysterectomy. My heavy bleeding that goes on-and-on has had me spend the whole summer indoors and losing out on the fun. Also, abdominal pain and irritability contributed to this. 4 weeks ago I started taking Aygestin and so-far so good. Now I can go on with my duties without worrying about spotting or constantly using a panty liner. Thanks Aygestin (Norethisterone).
